Summer Schools

Research projects
The Summer Schools are organized by the Collegium Invisibile Summer Schools and consist of a variety of workshops lasting for 5-10 days. These workshops are typically the first exposure to independent research work for high school graduates from the Polish Children's Fund. Current CI students share with them their knowledge gained during individual studies and research in Collegium. In this way, the graduates form PCF take their first steps in their chosen scientific area and the CI students are able to acquire teaching experience and develop pedagogical abilities. What is more, the Summer Schools provide an opportunity to exchange experiences with local society, such as the collaboration with the Center „The Borderland of Arts, Cultures, Nations” in Sejny.

In order to fulfill their academic program, qualified CI students must prepare their own classes for a group of 3-15 pupils (each of them participates in three different courses). The classes aim at introducing the pupils to the basis of their chosen discipline and the development of independent thought. The pupils develop a lecture, which is related to their area of interest and prepared under supervision of a CI student. A written version of the lecture, after the supervisor's review, can be published on the CI website.
